What I Learned In India: That The World Sees The Value Of Internationalized Higher Ed
Preview:
American colleges and universities have long recognized the value of internationalized higher education. We send our students on semesters abroad, travel-study programs, and other opportunities to experience other parts of the world, meet other people, and learn from them. Increasingly, we also recognize the value of bringing international students to study on our campuses. Students from other countries bring diversity of thought and different perspectives to our classrooms. They help our domestic students better learn how to thrive in a globalized workplace. And they also provide important economic benefits to our universities and our communities, especially at a time when the U.S. population is producing fewer students of traditional college age.
