Standing Beside Our Military Families: A National Imperative

During my recent experience at the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC) 95 in Alaska and California, I had the honor of observing firsthand the lives of our military personnel and their families. This immersive experience deepened my understanding of the immense sacrifices these families make and the steadfast resilience they embody. Witnessing the challenges of childcare, education, and the constant possibility of deployment revealed how little we, as civilians, recognize the sacrifices made by the families of deployed service members – let alone the service members themselves.
